Bringing up Baby (9/23) with Auntie's Pasta and avocado salad with carrot-ginger dressing:

Aunt's pasta with wavy egg noodles, feta, scallions, kalamata olives, diced tomatoes and cooked spinach.
Carrot-Ginger dressing for side salad:
Salad was small head of Bibb lettuce, 1/4 red onion and 1 quartered avocado.
Carrot-Ginger dressing for side salad:
- 1 large carrot, peeled and roughly chopped
- 1 small shallot, peeled and roughly chopped
- 2 T roughly chopped fresh ginger
- 2 T sweet white miso (usually refrigerated section but you can also skip this step)
- 2 T rice vinegar
- 2 T sesame oil
- 1/4 neutral oil (not olive). I used canola but you could use grapeseed etc.
- 2 T water

Annie Hall (8/19) with Taco night and Sarah's Mexican Wedding cookies:

Mexican Wedding Cookie recipe: Preheat oven to 350
Shape the dough into 1 inch balls. Place 1.5 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 14-15 min until they are light brown. Cool 5 minutes on the baking sheet. Roll warm cookie in remaining powdered sugar until evenly coated. Let cool on wire rack completely. Store in airtight container.
- 2 sticks of butter (1 cup), softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar (divided into two 1/2 cups)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Artichoke and White Bean crostini recipe: Preheat oven to 375
Optional: Bake 4 slices of proscuitto on a sprayed baking sheet 10-12 min until crispy. Let cool to crumble on top.
- Take a 12 inch baguette and cut it diagonally into 1/4 inch thick slices. Brush with olive oil front and back, and bake 12-15 min. Set aside to spoon spread over them!
- 1 12 oz. can of artichoke hearts (drain)
- 1 15 oz. can of cannelini beans (rinse and drain)
- 1 cup grated parm cheese
- 1/2 c chopped basil
- 1 t lemon zest
- 3 t lemon juice
- 2 t kosher salt and 1/2 t pepper
Optional: Bake 4 slices of proscuitto on a sprayed baking sheet 10-12 min until crispy. Let cool to crumble on top.

Shhh it's Mom's recipe! :) Preheat oven to 350
- 2 cans artichoke hearts Mix, Bake covered for 20 min
- 1 8oz. package grated mozzarella cheese Bake uncovered for 10 min
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese Serve with Triscuts etc.
- 1 cup mayo
- 1/2t. garlic salt
The spaghetti sauce used was the regular marinara by Mario Batali. It's super fresh and delicious with no preservatives!
